A splashy waterfall landscape painted en plein air after a morning hike up Davis County with my family. Utah never disappoints with its gorgeous lush mountain scenery. Now why is the splash important? Well, my little sister was sitting on a nearby ledge just above the falls you see in this painting...and slipped to fall in the waters right in front of me!
She was luckily unhurt, but I was definitely shocked out of the zen of painting at that moment. The whole family was, lol. And the title “Epic Splash” was born.
